چکیده

Abstract. The development of low-cost sensors and novel calibration algorithms provides new hints to complement conventional ground-based observation sites evaluate the spatial temporal distribution pollutants on hyperlocal scales (tens meters). Here we use deployed a taxi fleet explore air quality in road network Nanjing over course year (October 2019–September 2020). Based GIS technology, develop grid analysis method obtain 50 m resolution maps major (CO, NO2, O3). Through hotspot identification analysis, find three main sources including traffic, industrial emissions, cooking fumes. We that CO NO2 concentrations show pattern: highways > arterial roads secondary branch residential streets, reflecting traffic volume. O3 these five types are opposite order due titration effect NOx. Combined mobile measurements stationary station data, diagnose contribution traffic-related emissions 42.6 % 26.3 %, respectively. Compared pre-COVID period, during COVID-lockdown period decreased for 44.9 47.1 respectively, them both by more than %. With end pollutant rebounded substantially, indicating have crucial impact variation levels urban regions. This research demonstrates sensing power monitoring pollution, which detailed information source attribution, accurate traceability, potential mitigation strategies at micro-scale.

The use of electrochemical sensors for monitoring urban air quality in low-cost, high-density networks

Measurements at appropriate spatial and temporal scales are essential for understanding and monitoring spatially heterogeneous environmentswith complex andhighlyvariable emission sources, such as inurban areas. However, the costs and complexity of conventional air quality measurement methods means that measurement networks are generally extremely sparse. In this paper we show that miniature, lo...

Mitigating Slow Dynamics of Low-Cost Chemical Sensors for Mobile Air Quality Monitoring Sensor Networks

The last decade has seen a growing interest in air quality monitoring using networks of wireless low-cost sensor platforms. One of the unifying characteristics of chemical sensors typically used in real-world deployments is their slow response time. While the impact of sensor dynamics can largely be neglected when considering static scenarios, in mobile applications chemical sensor measurements...
